Brittany Hope’s second album, Held, is a personal project coming from a place of deep pain and even deeper joy.
From the first moments of grappling with being pregnant with a child on the edge of life and death to the experience of holding him for the first time weeks after he was born; from learning how to walk the lonely path of grief with the Lord to learning what it means to be sorrowful yet always rejoicing, Brittany processed it all through poetry and song. These songs, mostly written on the way to and from the hospital, are a gift she wants to share with parents, grandparents, family members and friends whose hearts are weary with the weight of caring for the sick.
The vision for this project is to provide a musical companion of comfort and truth to those facing the many and various unexpected trials God brings to His children, and their children. Whether you have or know a child in the hospital, in the ICU, or in heaven, there is hope and joy to be found in knowing the One who holds us all in His careful, loving hands.
These 10 songs have all been recorded and are currently in production, with the help of some masterful friends and family. We aim to release the album by January 2027. We need help to cover the cost of production and its resources and fundraising fees. Every gift helps bring these songs to life and place them in the hands of those who need to be reminded: in Christ, we are never alone, never forgotten, and never outside the Father’s care.
Please join us in praying that this album results in much encouragement, comfort, and faith-building to the glory of our faithful God! And please share this project with anyone you know who you think may benefit!
